Popular, Inc., is a financial services conglomerate that has operated as “Banco Popular” in Puerto Rico for over 125 years and as “Popular Bank” in the mainland United States for over 52 years.

As part of Popular Bank’s east coast campaign, Magnum Opus Architecture was commissioned to create a flagship branch on Madison Avenue & 40th to announce the company’s new presence in the NY Metro Area.

Highlights

An existing mezzanine within the space was altered to create a client café.
The marketing team’s design ideas for kinetic feeling light fixtures and column elements were designed and sourced.
The kinetic vocabulary was then echoed in the new ceiling, mezzanine and new curved stair design.
